This Member Agreement sets out what a seat at the VIP Networking table asks of you, and what you can expect in return. It applies alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Membership and vetting
Membership is by invitation. Applicants are introduced by an existing member, submit an application, are voted on by the membership, and are then approved by a chapter administrator. Membership is personal to you and to the business you represent; it cannot be transferred or shared without approval.
2. One professional per category
Each industry category is held by one member at a time. Where a category is broad, chapter leadership may recognise distinct specialties so that closely related professionals can both be seated. Category assignments are determined by chapter leadership, whose decision is final. You agree to represent your business honestly and to stay within your assigned category.
3. Attendance
The chapter meets weekly. Members are expected to attend at least 75% of meetings over a rolling six-month period. Attendance is tracked, and falling below the threshold may prompt a conversation with leadership and, if it continues, review of your membership.
4. Participation
Members are expected to take part in good faith: giving qualified referrals when they exist, meeting one-to-one with fellow members, recording closed business, and taking a turn in presentations and service roles. Quality matters more than volume — a referral should be a real, qualified introduction, not a name supplied to hit a number.
5. Dues
There are no membership dues. Members are individually responsible for their own costs, such as their own meals at meetings and any event fees announced in advance.
6. Conduct
You agree to conduct yourself professionally and lawfully, to treat members, guests, and their clients with respect, and to refrain from harassment or discrimination. You agree to honour commitments made to members and to their referred clients, and to hold appropriate licensing and insurance for your trade where the law requires it.
7. Confidentiality of member information
Member contact details, profile answers, referral history, and anything shared in the members-only area are provided for use within the network. You agree not to export, publish, sell, or use them for unsolicited bulk marketing, and not to share them outside the membership.
8. Guests
Members may invite guests whose industry does not conflict with a seated member. You are responsible for your guest's conduct while attending. A guest may receive a referral and use the member area only to work that referral and record the resulting business.
9. Leadership roles
Service roles are filled by members who volunteer or are appointed, and are held for the term set by chapter leadership. Roles may be reassigned at leadership's discretion.
10. Ending membership
You may resign at any time by notifying chapter leadership in writing. Membership may be ended by the chapter for breach of this Agreement, sustained non-attendance, or conduct that harms the group's reputation, subject to any review process the chapter has adopted. When membership ends your category is released and your access to members-only areas is removed; historical records of referrals and business already recorded are retained.
11. No guarantee of business
Membership offers access to a network of professionals. It does not guarantee referrals, revenue, or any particular outcome, and it is not an endorsement of your business by us or by any other member.
12. Changes
We may update this Agreement. Members will be notified of material changes, and continued membership after the effective date means you accept the updated Agreement.
